This Privacy Policy explains how BlueHome Agency ("BlueHome", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use bluehomeavailableproperties.co.uk (the "Site") or contact us via WhatsApp, email or our enquiry forms.
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

2. What data we collect
We only collect the data you choose to share with us, plus limited technical data:
- Contact & enquiry data: name, email, phone number, postcode area, budget, number of occupants, presence of pets/children, move-in date and any free-text information you send through our forms or WhatsApp.
- Maintenance reports: address, room/unit, description of the issue and any photo you attach.
- Communication content: WhatsApp, SMS and email messages you exchange with us.
- Technical & analytics data (only if you accept cookies): IP address (anonymised), device type, browser, pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), referring site and interaction events such as clicks on WhatsApp buttons or form submissions.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use your data (lawful bases)
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange viewings — lawful basis: performance of a contract / steps to enter a contract.
- To process tenancy applications and references — lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
- To handle maintenance reports — lawful basis: contract.
- To improve the Site and measure marketing performance (analytics & advertising cookies) — lawful basis: consent.
- To send marketing emails about new properties, viewings and offers — lawful basis: consent (you opt in) or soft opt-in (where you have already enquired about a similar service from us and have not objected). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing email or by emailing us.
- To comply with legal/regulatory obligations (e.g. Right to Rent checks, anti-money-laundering) — lawful basis: legal obligation.
3a. Email marketing
If you tick the marketing opt-in box on our forms or subscribe to our property alerts, we will use your email address to send you:
- New property listings matching your search criteria
- Open-day and viewing announcements
- Occasional updates about our services
We will never sell or rent your email address to third parties. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@bluehome.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect transactional emails related to a tenancy, viewing or maintenance request you have actively asked us to handle.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and tracking technologies. Non-essential cookies are only loaded after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.
- Strictly necessary: a single
localStorageentry storing your cookie choice. Always active. No consent required. - Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Ltd.): measures visits, pages and conversion events. IP anonymisation is enabled. Loaded only after consent.
- Marketing — Meta (Facebook) Pixel (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): measures the performance of ad campaigns and audiences. Loaded only after consent.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site data in your browser, which will make the cookie banner reappear.
5. Who we share your data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with:
- Landlords and property managers of the property you enquire about, so they can process your application.
- Service providers we rely on to run the business: WhatsApp/Meta (messaging), Google (email, analytics), our hosting and email providers. They act as processors under contract and only process data on our instructions.
- Authorities when required by law (e.g. court order, fraud prevention).
Some providers (Google, Meta) may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. When they do, the transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
6. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry / lead data: up to 24 months from last contact.
- Tenant data (where a contract is signed): for the duration of the tenancy plus 6 years (legal/tax obligations).
- Maintenance reports: for the duration of the tenancy plus 2 years.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months (Google Analytics default).
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to our processing
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Request your data in a portable format
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk

8. Security
We protect your data using reputable hosting providers, HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls and the principle of least privilege. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the risk.
9. Children
Our Site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
